Lalitha Sahasranamam


Sri Lalitha Sahasranamam is in the 36th chapter of Lalithopakhyana in Brahmanda Purana. It contains powerful hymns with thousand holiest names (from Head to Toe) of Goddess Sri Lalithambika, manifestation of Sri Parasakthi, taught and initiated by Sri Hayagriva, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, to Sage Sri Agasthya. Enlightened persons say that the recitation of Sri Lalitha Sahasranamam develops an awareness of spirituality, mantra, tantra and enlightenment of the creative secrets of the universe. The reciter must understand the full meaning of each namavali of Sri Lalithambika. Any person who recites the same DAILY with full faith and belief is considered to be one having done good karma in his previous birth and having divine blessing. It is a mantra kavach. Lalitha Sahasranamam is considered the ultimate in explaining atma, paramatma, travel of atma to unite paramatma, the unison, the bliss while maintaining the grihasthu dharma.
